Groundbreaking: March 2015

Opening: The first phase of Cambridge Tower A will open in November 2017. The remaining four floors will open as they are equipped and furnished.

Key design elements:

  • The two-level Burns & McDonnell Skywalk – one level for the public and one level for physicians and staff – provides additional patient privacy and larger, more accessible corridors. The skywalk connects the tower to the main hospital.
  • The Mark A. and Candice Uhlig Green Roof offers respite and a connection to the outdoors.
  • The Bob and Emily Honse Chapel offers a quiet space for reflection, prayer and spiritual needs.
  • Large, private rooms provide comfort and convenience for patients, visitors and the care team. 
  • 11 surgical suites include the latest technology so specialists can perform complex, complicated procedures and treatments.
  • Collaboration areas allow experts from different specialties to work together, keeping patient information private and confidential.
