Challenge grant contributed to ongoing campaign success

Generous donors to The University of Kansas Hospital ensured the Annette Bloch $10 Million Challenge Grant was met – a month early!

In November 2014, Annette challenged the community to raise $10 million to support Cambridge North Tower at The University of Kansas Hospital by June 30, 2016. She promised to match this with a $10 million gift earmarked to expand surgical cancer care in the new facility. Individuals, foundations and corporate donors met her challenge a month early, at the end of May 2016.

Annette’s gift provided a tremendous boost for the hospital’s largest ever capital campaign. “Thanks to Annette’s $10 million gift and the generosity of countless others, these gifts have helped us achieve nearly $43 million of our $100 million campaign goal for the new tower,” said Bob Page, president and chief executive officer of The University of Kansas Health System.

While we're celebrating this milestone, the campaign to fund our expansion continues. Please support academic medicine in Kansas City now.
